BSL-FLFolding Louvre Panels for Dynamic Facades
The Folding Brise Soleil system uses hinged aluminium louvre panels that fold flat against the facade when not needed, or swing outward to provide adjustable solar shading. Each panel consists of fixed horizontal louvre blades (80×15mm) set at an optimised angle within a folding aluminium frame. Panels fold in pairs using a bi-fold hinge mechanism, stacking neatly to one side of the opening. The system is available in manual (fold-by-hand with friction hinges) or motorised (24V linear actuator with rain/wind sensors) configurations. Standard panel widths are 400–800mm with heights up to 3000mm. When fully folded, panels occupy just 120mm of wall depth per pair. The folding action doubles as ventilation control — open panels allow airflow while still blocking direct sun. All aluminium components are powder-coated in any RAL colour.
