Fixed Brise Soleil Louvre System

BSL-F

Permanent Architectural Solar Shading

The Fixed Brise Soleil system consists of permanently mounted aluminium louvre blades arranged horizontally or vertically in front of the building facade. Each blade is precision-extruded from 6060-T6 aluminium alloy, available in elliptical, rectangular, C-profile, or aerofoil cross-sections ranging from 80mm to 450mm width. The blades are fixed at a calculated angle optimised for the building's orientation and latitude β€” blocking high summer sun while allowing low winter sun to enter. Fixed systems require zero maintenance, have no moving parts, and withstand extreme wind loads. They provide continuous solar shading without any energy consumption or user intervention. All blades and support brackets are powder coated in any RAL colour. The system mounts on a substructure of aluminium T-profiles or steel brackets anchored to the facade. Standard blade spans reach up to 4,000mm without intermediate support; larger spans use mid-span brackets.

TECHNOLOGY & DETAILS

Engineering That Performs.

Zero Maintenance

No moving parts, no motors, no controls. Fixed blades provide continuous shading for decades without intervention.

Optimised Blade Angle

Blade angle calculated for your building's orientation and latitude. Blocks high summer sun, admits low winter sun.

Wind-Resistant

Fixed mounting withstands extreme wind loads β€” suitable for high-rise facades and exposed coastal locations.

Architectural Statement

Brise soleil transforms the facade into a dynamic light-and-shadow composition. Available in horizontal, vertical, or angled configurations.

APPLICATIONS

Where It Works.

Fixed brise soleil is the standard for commercial facades β€” office buildings, schools, hospitals, and public buildings where consistent solar shading is required…

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common Questions.

Elliptical (aerodynamic, elegant), rectangular (bold, modern), C-profile (maximum shade per blade), and aerofoil (optimised airflow). Widths from 80mm to 450mm.

The optimal angle is calculated based on your building's compass orientation, latitude, and the rooms behind the facade. South-facing facades typically use 30–45Β° horizontal blades; east/west facades benefit from vertical blades.

Yes. The system mounts on a substructure anchored to the existing facade β€” no structural modification to the building required.

Up to 4,000mm without intermediate support. Longer spans use mid-span brackets.

Fixed systems cost less, require zero maintenance, and have infinite lifespan. Moveable systems offer flexibility but add motors, controls, and maintenance. For facades with consistent sun exposure, fixed is the most cost-effective long-term solution.
