VisioMod Sereno — Perforated Aluminium Panel

Formerly known as Sereno Perforated Panel Fence

VF-SER

Perforated aluminium panel for contemporary villas, courtyard screens and urban roof terraces. A single 3 mm aluminium sheet up to 1500 × 2500 mm — no joints, no slat repetition, just the pattern. Choose four standard perforations (Dot, Square, Linear, Wave) or supply your own CNC artwork; open area scales from 25 % (subtle screen) to 55 % (graphic light filter). Concealed 50 × 25 mm frame, exterior-grade finish in any RAL or anodised. Modulo Light backlight turns the panel into a lantern at night. A premium alternative to perforated steel mesh and slatted timber screens.

Engineering overview

VisioMod Sereno is a monolithic perforated aluminium panel fence engineered as a single, continuous architectural surface rather than a sequence of repeating slats or pickets. Each panel is laser-cut or CNC-punched from a single 3 mm aluminium sheet measuring up to 1500 mm in width and 2500 mm in height, eliminating the visible joints, alignment tolerances and slat-to-slat shadow gaps that characterise traditional boundary systems. The sheet is mechanically tensioned within a concealed 50 × 25 mm aluminium U-frame designed to disappear behind the panel face, so the perforation pattern reads uninterrupted from grade level to coping. This monolithic logic gives Sereno a quiet, planar presence that behaves more like a screen wall or facade element than a fence. Four standard perforation patterns are offered: Dot Ø8 (a precise circular grid for soft, pixelated transparency), Square 10 (orthogonal apertures aligned to contemporary curtain-wall geometry), Linear 6 (narrow horizontal slits that read as rendered planes from distance), and Wave (a parametric gradient that densifies toward the panel base for graduated privacy). Beyond these, custom CNC files are accepted for project-specific graphics, brand marks, calligraphic motifs or perforation gradients tied to a facade rhythm. Open area is calibrated between 25 % and 55 % to balance privacy and airflow: 25-30 % for boundary screening on exposed sites, 35-45 % for courtyards and terraces where cross-ventilation matters, and 50-55 % for landmark facade panels where the perforation reads as a lighting filter. Sereno is Modulo Light backlight ready: IP68-rated 24 V DC LED strips integrate behind the sheet within the U-frame cavity, transforming the panel into a graphic light element after dusk where the perforation pattern projects as a luminous mesh onto adjacent paving and planting. The aluminium surface is finished in Qualicoat Class 2 polyester powder coat across the full RAL palette or specified as natural, bronze or champagne anodised, both rated for severe atmospheric exposure. As a Signature-tier element, Sereno is intended for projects where the boundary is read as part of the building envelope rather than a separate site object.
Architectural integration

Reading on the facade

Sereno reads differently by daylight and after dusk, and the architectural specification should resolve both conditions deliberately. By day the perforation pattern registers as texture against the panel colour: RAL 7016 anthracite reads as a dense, near-matt plane that absorbs surrounding architecture; RAL 9005 deep black gives the sharpest pattern definition and the strongest contrast against rendered or pale stone facades; RAL 8019 grey-brown integrates with timber rainscreens and weathered steel; natural anodised silver picks up sky reflection and coordinates with aluminium curtain-wall mullions. After dusk, Modulo Light backlight inverts the reading: the panel becomes a luminous graphic and the perforation projects onto adjacent paving and planting. Within a single boundary run, Sereno is designed to pair with Lineo slat fencing below window-sill level for plinth privacy, and with Inciso laser-cut accent panels at gate or arrival points for graphic emphasis.

Installation

Foundation & site notes

Foundation specification depends on context: for slab installations, M12 chemical or expansion anchors fix the U-frame foot to slab via a stainless-steel base plate; for ground-set installations, posts are concrete-set at 500-700 mm depth to comply with DIN EN 1997 frost-zone requirements. Panel-to-panel joints use a continuous EPDM gasket within the U-frame to prevent rattle and water ingress. Modulo Light wiring conduit must be pre-routed through the post core or a sub-grade conduit before panel installation, since the U-frame cavity is not accessible after the sheet is tensioned. A 1500 × 2500 mm single-piece panel weighs approximately 30-34 kg depending on open area and requires two-person handling or a suction lifter; never grip the perforated face during handling. Where Sereno is paired with a Porta gate within the same run, the gate post must be upsized and reinforced.
