VisioMod Lineo — Horizontal Aluminium Fence

Formerly known as Lineo Horizontal Slat Fence

VF-LIN

Horizontal aluminium slat fence engineered for residential boundaries, pool perimeters and hospitality terraces. Three slat widths (30/50/80 mm) calibrate the privacy-to-airflow balance — fine louvres that break wind turbulence, residential defaults, or near-solid planes for street boundaries. Concealed posts deliver an identical reading on both sides; no visible fasteners, no front-back distinction. Spans up to 2500 mm reduce post count on long runs. Heights 900–2000 mm, Qualicoat Class 2 powder coat in any RAL or three woodgrain laminates. A maintenance-free alternative to timber, mesh and WPC fencing — engineered for inland and coastal wind tiers.

VisioMod Lineo is a horizontal aluminium slat screen built around a 40 × 40 mm 6063-T5 frame and 20 mm hollow extruded slats — engineered as a non-load-bearing boundary system that delivers privacy, wind filtration and a continuous architectural line across spans of up to 2500 mm between posts. The three slat widths — 30, 50 and 80 mm — are not aesthetic variants but optical calibrations: the 30 mm profile reads as a fine louvre with a 1:1 gap-to-face ratio that retains airflow and breaks wind-driven turbulence; the 50 mm profile is the default for residential privacy at 1:0.5; the 80 mm profile gives a near-solid plane (1:0.2) for street boundaries and pool decks where visual closure is the priority. Across all three widths the slat depth stays at 20 mm, so the shadow line, frame reveal and post profile remain dimensionally coordinated regardless of slat selection. Structural design follows EN 1991-1-4 with the relevant National Annex applied to terrain categories II–IV inland and Category 0 coastal. The standard 1.0 kN/m² wind tier covers inland sites; the 1.4 kN/m² coastal tier upgrades posts from 60 × 60 mm to 80 × 80 mm and tightens span at 1800 / 2000 mm heights. Foundation is specified two ways: an M12 chemical or expansion anchor through a 150 × 150 × 8 mm base plate onto a frost-protected reinforced slab, or a 60 × 60 / 80 × 80 mm post concrete-set 500 mm (Zone 1) to 700 mm (Zones 3–4) below grade per local frost depth. Frame and slat extrusions are mechanically fastened — fence-class fabrication, with EN 1090-1 explicitly not invoked. The finish system is Qualicoat Class 2 powder coat in any RAL, providing 50 % gloss retention after 3-year Florida exposure, with Qualimarine pre-treatment (2 g/m² etching) specified within 5 km of saltwater. Three woodgrain laminates — Walnut, Oak and Anthracite Wood — are sublimation-fused with 10-year colour-fastness against UV.

Lineo reads as a continuous architectural plane rather than a fence — a quality premium European boundary projects consistently exploit at the property edge. Against white through-coloured render or limestone facades, RAL 7016 anthracite grey at 1800 mm in the 50 mm slat profile produces the cleanest contemporary contrast; the same RAL on charred-timber or anthracite-clad volumes lets the fence dissolve into the building envelope. For warmer Mediterranean palettes — travertine, lime render, weathered brick — RAL 8019 (grey-brown) or RAL 7022 (umbra grey) sit more comfortably than pure black; RAL 9005 deep black is reserved for graphic, high-contrast statements against pale render. The 30 mm slat suits 900–1200 mm framing duties around terraces and pool decks where view is the priority; the 80 mm slat absorbs 2000 mm boundary heights without visual heaviness. Hidden posts are non-negotiable in this language — they preserve the reading of an unbroken plane. On the same property Lineo pairs naturally with Cristallo glass infill at terrace edges, Inciso laser-cut panels at the gate, and Bosco WPC where a warmer biophilic zone is needed.

Two foundation strategies cover virtually every site condition. On existing reinforced slabs (≥150 mm C25/30), posts are mechanically fixed via M12 chemical or expansion anchors through a galvanised baseplate — fastest install, recommended only where slab depth and edge distances satisfy ETAG 001 pull-out values. For soft ground or new boundaries, posts are concrete-set in a 250 × 250 mm footing, 500 mm deep in DIN EN 1997 frost zones 1–2 (mild coastal), 700 mm in zones 3–4 (continental / alpine) to clear the local frost line; concrete C20/25, 75 mm cover to the post foot. Baseplates carry ±15 mm level adjustment on three axes. Slats are clipped from one end into the routed post channel and locked with concealed grub screws every fifth slat; cut ends seal with end caps. When paired with VisioMod Porta, allow a dedicated reinforced post (140 × 140 mm) on the hinge side.
