Glass Door Systems & French Balcony
Formerly known as VisioMod FrontFold Glass Systems
VM-FFBi-fold glass door system that opens the full width of your facade — aluminium-framed glass panels fold and stack compactly to one side. Ideal for restaurants, pool areas and residential terraces. Any RAL colour.
Bi-Fold Glass Doors, Maximum Access
FrontFold is a bi-fold glass door system that opens by folding panels in an accordion configuration to one or both sides. Each panel pivots on stainless steel hinges and rides on a top-hung aluminium track with ball-bearing carriages. The system provides up to 95% clear opening — wider than sliding alternatives. Available in 2–8 panel configurations for openings from 1500mm to 8000mm. Glass options include 8mm tempered single-pane and 24mm insulated double-glazing units for thermal performance. The slim aluminium frame (45mm sightline) maximises glass area. Threshold options include flush recessed track (accessibility) or raised weather-seal track (enhanced water resistance). A multi-point locking system secures all panels when closed.

Use these answers when comparing a bi-fold glass wall route for wide openings that need a larger clear aperture than a sliding layout.
FrontFold is used for terrace, balcony and hospitality openings where aluminium-framed glass panels should fold to one or both sides and leave a wider clear opening.
Compare glass systems →FrontFold is usually better when the brief prioritises a wide open aperture and side folding space is available; FrontSlide is usually cleaner when compact sliding tracks are the priority.
Compare sliding route →Confirm opening width, panel count, folding direction, threshold, drainage, side parking space, weather sealing expectation and whether a thermal-break route is required.
Request project review →Panels fold completely to one side — maximum unobstructed access to outdoor space.
Panels hang from overhead track — no heavy bottom rail, smooth effortless operation.
Minimal aluminium sightline between panels — maximum glass, minimal frame.
Secure locking at top, bottom, and intermediate points for wind resistance and security.
2 to 8 panels in a single opening. Panels can fold to one side or split to both sides.
Yes. 24mm double-glazing units (4/16/4mm with argon fill) provide thermal insulation for year-round use.
A bottom guide track is required but can be flush-recessed into the floor for accessibility compliance.
