Zip Screen Blinds & Exterior Shading
Formerly known as Luxa 100T — Horizontal Top Screen
ZIP 100TA horizontal zip screen designed for pergola and veranda roofs — fabric tensioned across the underside of the roof to filter sun, glare, and heat. Used over Sereno 700, Vetra WG, or any flat roof up to 6×4 m. Motorised, RAL frame.
When even bioclimatic louvres need a softer light.
The Sereno 700 louvres tilt to 115°, but at noon some terraces still need a softer touch — afternoon sun raking across glass walls, glare on a screen, heat radiating off polished stone. The Tela 100T runs a tensioned fabric across the underside of the pergola or veranda roof. Press a button and the fabric extends along precision rails, kept flat against gravity by counter-tension springs. Light is filtered, not blocked; the louvres above can stay open for ventilation. Compatible with Luxa Sereno 700, Vetra WG, Vetra Cube, and most flat aluminium roofs up to 6×4 m. Aluminium cassette, fabric range 350-450 g/m² translucent, any RAL frame colour. RTS motor IP44, wind class 2.
Use this route when the facade, pergola or opening needs vertical shading with better control of glare, privacy and wind exposure.
ZIP screens work as a facade-shading layer, pergola side closure or hospitality weather-control layer.
Clarify opening dimensions, guide fixing, fabric openness, control type and exposure before the screen is specified.
Treat ZIP screens as part of the building envelope rather than an accessory so the result improves comfort and appearance.
Pair ZIP screens with pergolas for side closure and privacy.

Use these answers when comparing a horizontal top ZIP screen for pergola, veranda or roof-glazing shading projects.
Luxa Tela 100T is used as a horizontal or roof-mounted ZIP screen route where glare, heat and overhead sunlight need to be controlled above a pergola, veranda or glazed opening.
Compare ZIP screens →Choose a top ZIP screen when the main solar gain comes from the roof or overhead glazing; choose a vertical ZIP screen when the exposed side or facade opening is the problem.
Compare vertical screen →Confirm roof opening size, mounting surface, fabric tension path, drainage or gutter interaction, wind exposure, motor route and whether the screen pairs with a pergola or veranda.
Review top screen →Designed for roof-beam installation on pergolas and verandas — no wall connection needed.
Aluminium guide channels maintain fabric tension in winds up to 80 km/h — no flapping or lifting.
Slim housing conceals fabric when retracted — minimal visual impact on the roof structure.
Mounts directly to LuxaShade pergola beams as a complementary sun protection layer below the louvres.
Sunscreen (1–14% openness), blackout, and waterproof membrane fabrics available in 50+ colours.
With Soltis rain-resistant membrane fabric, the 100T provides effective rain protection. Standard sunscreen fabrics are water-resistant but not waterproof.
