Suitable projects
Glass railings suit balconies, terraces and commercial edges where transparency and safety need to work together.
- Balconies and terraces
- View-sensitive residential projects
- Commercial decks with stronger load assumptions

Frameless Glass Railings
Formerly known as FS 7000 Frameless Glass System
FS 7000Heavy-duty frameless glass railing rated to 7.0 kN/m. Reinforced aluminium base channel for stadiums, airports, and high-rise public buildings. EN 1991-1-1.
Heavy-Duty Frameless Glass — Maximum Load Capacity
The FS 7000 is the heaviest-duty model in the FS frameless glass railing series, using a reinforced aluminium base channel for high-traffic public buildings and exposed balcony projects. Like FS 1500 and FS 3000, it uses the same proven concept: VSG laminated safety glass panels secured in a precision-machined aluminium profile at floor level. The deeper, wider channel profile accepts 10+10, 12+12 or 15+15 mm laminated VSG and is reviewed by project for commercial atriums, transport hubs and exposed balconies. Available in top-mount, side-mount, or concealed base configurations. Full RAL powder coating. EN 12150 documentation and structural warranty terms are confirmed by project scope.
Use this route when the project needs view-preserving safety, a clean architectural edge and clear load or approval assumptions.
Glass railings suit balconies, terraces and commercial edges where transparency and safety need to work together.
Confirm substrate, glass height, wind exposure, line-load requirement and approval documentation before pricing.
Move from visual selection to standards-aware specification so the railing is not treated as a simple glass panel.
Use FS 1500 for lighter residential frameless glass routes.

Use these answers when comparing a premium frameless glass railing route for demanding balcony, terrace or commercial edge conditions.
FS 7000 is a heavy-duty frameless glass railing route for projects that need a clean base-channel look with stronger load, exposure or public-area assumptions.
Compare glass railings →Use FS 7000 when the project brief points to higher loads, exposed edges, commercial use or a more robust base-channel specification than a lighter residential route.
Compare lighter route →Confirm substrate, fixing method, glass height, wind exposure, line-load assumptions, drainage detail and the documentation needed for local approval.

All fittings in 316L stainless — corrosion-resistant for coastal, pool, and high-humidity environments.
10+10, 12+12 or 15+15 mm VSG for maximum structural performance and safety.
Beyond standard stainless, choose PVD-coated finishes in gold, black, or bronze for distinctive aesthetics.
Optional Ø42mm round handrail mounted directly to glass via adjustable connectors — no posts required.
Dense crowd pushing against barrier — 3.0 kN/m

The FS 7000 is specified where structural safety requirements are at their most demanding — buildings where crowd dynamics, exposure, or critical fall protection…
Glass panels are secured in a reinforced aluminium base channel with wedge-lock fixings, the same proven method as FS 1500 and FS 3000 but with a deeper, wider profile for higher loads.
All holes are factory-drilled in tempered glass before the toughening process. Hole edges are polished to remove stress concentrations, per EN 12150.
Yes. The 316L stainless steel fittings resist chlorine and salt corrosion. This system is ideal for pool barriers and coastal installations.
Concrete, steel, and timber. The base channel can be top-mounted, side-mounted, or concealed depending on the substrate and architectural requirement.
